The location was excellent, a very comfortable and spacious apartment with practically everything you need provided (coffee, tea, pots, pans, cutlery, even a detergent pod). They offered an infant bed upon request and had air conditioning for warmer days. Overall, the stay was very good.

It was very well equipped, it was quiet and very cozy. Good internet connection and 2 flat-screen TVs. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of pots, pans and anything you might need to cook meals for more people. The staff was great, we booked the place on the morning of the same day we checked in and they got everything ready very fast and made sure that everything was okay.

A historical, well preserved old city in the middle of Kurzeme. Well worth the new status on UNESCO world heritage list. The waterfall Ventas rumbas is impressive, not for it height, but for its width.

A must-have visit for tourists who come to Latvia and have extra time to get further away from the capital (2h drive). The city is well-renovated while keeping the oldschool charm. Restautants, shops, and nice people.
The nature around if beautiful. Kuldiga has the widest waterfall in Europe (widest, not highest :))

Kuldiga is an attractive ancient town filled with cobble stone streets and wooden buildings. The old town is rather compact and hence easily seen on foot. There are plentiful food outlets and pubs serving reasonably priced food and beer. We ate at Marmalades on Pasta iela (street) several times as it had good home-made food at a reasonable price. 20 to 30+ year olds seem to have a good command of English and were happy to answer questions or give directions. We enjoyed the relaxed vibe by day and felt safe wandering the streets at night - its light until about 11.00pm!

It combined fine dining with relatively tourist free (maybe in August there aren’t many tourists there anymore) town. The old buildings in the centre are almost exclusively protected and only renovated from the inside. Kuldiga is covered with flowers to decorate the old buildings. There are many bridges and obviously the red brick bridge is stunning. I also cannot not mention the widest waterfall in Europe. Crossing it is a must and I certainly did. Mind you, even though the water only reaches your knees at its deepest, the current tries to grab you along and the algae makes the stones slippery. I must admit I accidentally went swimming fully clothed!

Very nice, cozy town.
Very nice, cozy town. Surprisingly good food at local restaurants, catering to different tastes. Due to small number of restaurants, it is advisable to book the table in advance, especially during mass events.
Ventas Rumba is the best place where to spend hot summer days. Few after-dinner walks around city center is enough to see all the historic buildings. For additional (interesting) info just take guided tour, it is worth it. Additional places of interest are just short trip away, especially suited for those on bicycles.
P.S. Kuldiga is a small town, no nightlife whatsoever.
The location couldn't be better – it is right in the heart of the oldtown. The building itself is more than 300 years old and it is known as Staffenhagen's House – allegedly, during the Great Northern War, the Swedish King Carl XII stayed there in 1702. The house is divided into several separate apartments, so you will have neighbours (Kuldīga is popular with tourists). There are enough free parking spots in the inner courtyard for all the guests. The kitchen has everything you might need & the shower is very relaxing.
Outstanding breakfast (with huge portions) at Stenders Restaurant right next door . . . arranged by the hotel.
The room was very comfortable and quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance for lunch and dinner.
Somebody clearly put a lot of love and effort into the restoration of this great old building! It’s a lovely and charming boutique hotel.
We had an amazing stay! The hotel is well done. Very nice and cozy. Super clean and high quality . Beds are exceptional, so comfortable. In the kitchen you will find everything you need. Fell in love with the bathroom. People are really making sure their guests have everything. Very happy we chose to stay in Gothards. We will be back :)
Very nice and cosy appartment at a breathtaking location in Kuldiga. Don't miss the view down to the waterfall at 6am - this is worth waking up early! Friendly host - easy check-in just by a phone call. Two restaurants just a few meters away at the river side. Short walk to town center with nice shops, cafés and street market.
The location of hotel is excellent, very heart of Kuldiga. I don't want to underrate this place in these harsh times. Breakfast was served portioned - not buffet. On the other hand - not much food left on plate and no option to overeat! Staff was very helpful in making scramble without milk products.
Everything was perfect starting from the owners Romans and Madara so nice and welcoming! We really enjoyed speaking with them!
The apartment is big and it has everything you need in addition very close to the amazing city of Kuldiga taking a stroll 🚶♀️ there will be for ever in our memory
Great service. One of the few places in Kuldīga with 24/7 reception (I noticed many other places only offer check-in until 20:00). The room exceeded our expectations: well equipped, ample seating area, tea and coffee available, good bathroom. Loved the view over the empty field!
Beautifully designed, very comfortable and well equipped (including the kitchenette), and fantastic value for money. Comfy bed. A little away from central Kuldiga, but it was within walking distance for us. The breakfast for €10 was very filling and again, good value.
The design of the whole apartment was amazing! We really liked and enjoyed our stay!
We managed to travel to Kuldīga during the hottest days in the summer and the apartment was cold and perfect where to hide and spent a night. We finally slept very well! Thank you!
The hotel is very close to the Kuldiga bus station and only a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square and the Waterfalls. The room was very clean and cozy with all the amenities. The lady at the reception desk was very kind and helpful.
The decor, the vibe and the space - we loved how well the apartment is maintained! Martins is a great host and was very attentive to our requests. We love the place so much we are going to rent it out again once we are back to Kuldiga
A great place to stay in Kuldiga. On the outside, the hotel looks unassuming, but inside you'll find cosy and stylish rooms. The breakfast, served directly across the square, was very delicious and plentiful.
Loved the hotel room- it has authentic feel and charm . Its so different from usual. Aswell in winter time it felt just like it would in some winter wonderland!
Very helpful and welcoming staff. The hotel is pet-friendly and our dog was treated with complimentary snack. Nice and atmospheric garden in front of the hotel.
